Facts and Highlights

Calendar:

We follow a modified year-round schedule.  The first day of school falls during the first full week of August.  The last day of school falls during the last week of May.  A master calendar is published each year.

Tuition and Fees:

A print0out of the current tuition and fee amounts are available in the school office.

Admissions:

Emmanuel Lutheran School admits students of any sex, race, color, and national or ethnic origin to all the right, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Emmanuel does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, and national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions, policies, financial aid programs, and other school administered programs.

Enrollment Procedures:

Please contact our school office at 873-6334 to receive a packet of information about our school.  We will be happy to answer your initial questions at that time.

After completing and returning the forms in the packet, along with the first fees that are due,  you will be asked to schedule a time for your child entering grades 1-8 to complete a brief placement test. Kindergarten applicants will be scheduled a time to attend the Kindergarten Observation Day in February or to spend about 90 minutes in the classroom with the teacher.

If your child is coming to us from another school or preschool, you will be asked to have a School Evaluation form completed and mailed back to us by your child’s current teacher. You will also be asked to provide a copy of your child’s most recent report card.

In January we host an Open House for prospective  parents.

If a class is full, we will have Waiting List for those families who want to be notified if a space becomes available for their child.

After-School Care:

Emmanuel offers an “E-Plus” program licensed childcare from the time of school dismissal until 5:30. It also offers special intersession programs during some vacation weeks and the summer. A calendar is available showing the dates our program is open. This and a print-out of the current fees are available in the office.

Preschool:

Emmanuel Lutheran Church also offers a preschool for children ages three to five. For general information about this program, please call 873-6339, to speak with the Director.
