This is Ms. Parrish’s first year teaching at Emmanuel Lutheran School. She teaches first grade. Ms. Parrish received a divine call to serve at Emmanuel Lutheran in May 2012. Before coming to Maui she attended Concordia University in Austin, Texas where she was active in the university choir and a Resident Assistant for 3 years in housing. She graduated this past April where she received the honor of graduating Magna Cum Laude. In July of 2012, she moved to Maui and resides in Wailuku currently. Amber loves to travel, try new foods, sing, play her flute and loves to immerse herself in new cultures. She is planning on pursuing her Masters degree in Early Childhood Education starting spring 2013. Amber loves being able to teach in a place that can openly worship Jesus and focuses on the Gospel of Christ. She feels blessed to be a teacher and can think of no better place to be than with her students.
