Enrichment Curriculum
Throughout the year each classroom teacher provides a number of special experiences and activities. These range from special programs and projects in the classroom, to field trips and class excursions.
Special opportunities are also provided for the entire school. Throughout the year all of the students attend a number of plays and concerts.
Students in Kindergarten, third, fifth, and eighth grade participate in the highly successful DARE program offered through the police department. This program focuses on drug awareness and education.
Our students also participate in the National Geography Bee and Spelling Bee.
Our middle school students have the opportunity to participate in various elective courses during the school term. Electives may include classes such as Journalism, Drama, Music Appreciation, 3-D Art, Drawing and Painting, and News Bowl.
Outdoor Education
Students in 5th grade at Emmanuel are privileged to take a 3-day Outdoor Education trip. This trip takes place at Camp Keanae here on Maui. It is a part of our fifth grade curriculum. Students have the opportunity to learn and have fun in a great environment outside of the classroom!
Youth of Emmanuel
The Youth of Emmanuel (YOE) is an opportunity for students grades 6-12 to come together in fellowship outside of school. Youth activities take place the 2nd Friday of every month as well as during Sunday School hour every Sunday. The youth are currently lead by Kelsey Dunn, 5th grade teacher at Emmanuel.
