Welcome from Our Pastor

Welcome to the website of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Maui. We are a member congregation of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, www.lcms.org  our national church body. Located centrally in Kahului, our church seeks to carry out Jesus’ commission to “go and make disciples of all nations”  by baptizing and teaching them everything Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19-20).

As a central part of this mission, we gather weekly for worship and Bible study to teach disciples (followers of Jesus) of all ages. We believe in the One True God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in whose name we are baptized. It is through God’s loving act of sending Jesus Christ into the world to die for our sins on the cross and defeat death through His rising to life again, that He opens the one True Way to the Father and eternal salvation (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). The timeless truth of God’s Word is the source of our joy and our motivation to serve Him.

One of the primary ways our congregation serves the community of Maui beyond our weekly worship and Bible study, is the operation of our Christian preschool and elementary school programs. These both extend our mission to provide a high-quality Christ-centered education to a growing body of students throughout the week.
